This year’s orientation camp was great. I can’t exactly compare it to last year’s because it was so different - the feeling of experiencing the same camp but a year later as an affliate of the freshmen o-camp groups rather than the actual group members. Just witnessing the group having fun really makes me think back at the times when I was a freshmen. The cheering competitions are awesome, like always. Yet, there were times where I really really wanted to leave….like when this gecko fell onto my bed. Out of all beds, why mine??? I hate all creepy-crawlies, insects, and the list goes on.
My summer holiday is way too short. It’s already coming to an end, can you believe that? To me, it seemed like it only started. My brother started school today so when I think about that, I feel a little bit better (haha).
Today I did some research for next summer. I really wanted to do that Asian Studies Summer Course at Sophia University, Tokyo, but gosh the tuition fee was really stunningly expensive O_O; So then I might consider some Japanese Language Schools instead of universities…since Sophia was one of the very very few that offered summer courses. I then came across the idea of getting a working holiday visa, since my British passport allows me to do so (and when I’m over 25, I’ll just have to renew my super expired Australian passport hahaha). But the cons of that include a) my Japanese sucks donkey poo, b) my summer holiday might not be long enough to even get a job in the first place and c) where am I going to live?! TAT;
On a totally random note, I finished watching Season 1 of Sex and the City. I quite like it - apart from the fact that I saw nude scenes that I never expected seeing… ’cause didn’t this show air on TV?!?!?! Well it did bring up some interesting topics (lol)…
